The Obama Administration is leaning towards supporting the UN Arms Trade Treaty. The United States is it's own entity and can decide for itself who can or cannot purchase firearms made inside the United States. The United States would possibly lose thousands of jobs if this is applied to the United States. In a time where the United States is trying to create and retain jobs anything that jeopardizes any American jobs is a bad idea. The original intent of the 2nd Amendment was to protect the citizens against the government if there came a time of a tyrannical government.
