The men and women of the armed forces have consistently had benefits changed to be smaller and smaller. When funding needs to be cut, it's the people who maintain the peace and fight for our country that get the block, not the people with the six-figure paychecks who sit on cushions. So many veterans already live on the streets as homeless, don't doom your protectors to the same fate and put a pay cut on the upper government. Don't make them suffer while any former president still gets more than any 10 families in my neighborhood put together make.
Bottom line: A big reason that many join the military is for the benefits of being able to have college tuition benefits and training, so instead of cutting the very reason for their enlistment, instead cut the salaries of the higher government
