Stop taking drivers licenses for child support. If a person can't get to work, or look for work, they can't pay it.

Created by J.A. on September 28, 2011

Child Support law is too harsh on the people. The taking of drivers licenses is counter productive. It makes it virtually impossible to keep a job or find a job in an economy where there are barely any jobs. All that is left is jail which also is counter productive. The money spent to house inmates and pursue legal action is well over the amount that it would take to help the people instead of condemn them. A person should not have to feel like a criminal because they do not make enough money to support two households. In the long run most of that money is going to support all of the Judges, Lawyers, Guards, Police etc. The amount of money spent to build a prison, and fill it with these unfortunate people could be used to build a factory and give all of these same people jobs.
