Stop Targeting Military Retirement to Balance the Budget.

Created by R.C. on December 13, 2013

The current budgetary deal cuts pension cost of living raises by 1% for military retirees who aren't disabled and not yet 62 years old. When compounded, the 1% cut could result in much more than a 20% cut in retiree pension over the course of 20 years. This is an egregious betrayal to those that have served at the cost of their family, health, and in some cases their lives. The budget agreement violates the spirit of grandfathering current service members and retirees who have served honorably and in good faith that the current retirement system would remain in place.
