We retirees have paid into social security our whole careers. This is our money that was saved for our future. Why should we pay tax on it when we get it back? Shouldn't the govenment be paying us interest as with any savings plan? Yes, this is entitlement. We are entitled to get our money back, and we shouldn't have to pay tax on it when we do.
