Stop the Tejon Casino in Kern County from being built. The Tejon tribe is illegitimate and our county will suffer.

Created by J.A. on January 13, 2016

We are seeking to halt the proposed development of a 250,000 sq ft. casino just south of Bakersfield, California. The location is a culturally sensitive and well known archaeological site. Though the Tejon Kitanemuk Indian Tribe has no cultural affiliation with the site, Las Vegas moguls have conspired with this group to gain federal rights to build the Tejon casino. The last thing Bakersfield and the surrounding areas need is a money funnel to Las Vegas. Kern County has been struck in recent years with drought, poverty, and health issues associated with air pollution. Please help us stop this casino project from moving forward before its too late. Casinos are engines of inequality and social-ills. Kern County can't support the social services price tags associated with another casino.
