A great debt is owed to those who have laid down their lives to earn and defend our nation’s freedoms. Even when the cause was not supported, our troops were. However, if we cannot uphold justice in our own military how can we continue to take pride in it? Rape in the military should not be ignored, brushed aside, or minimized. Our troops lay down their lives to defend ours. In return the system designed to protect our freedoms and rights does everything in its power to take theirs if they even think of justice. The despicable people who rape fellow Americans do not understand or represent our beliefs and have no business defending our country. We cannot and will not stand behind a military that does not take this seriously. This must end. Our country is better than this.
