This trade agreement, in enacted, could have dire consequences for the rights, health and general welfare of the American people.While it is our dream to have borderless trade, this agreement is proven to be archaic.
Here is why:
1) Job outsourcing would leave smaller businesses outstretched and their employees receiving less pay and unemployment would increase because of it. This would lead to an increase in poverty
2) Increase in the cost of medicine and risk of contaminated meat and sea food would increase risk of illness and death. Pay cuts would also make it hard for people to afford health care premiums making the risk higher.
3) SOPA like policies would in the agreement would tread on freedom of speech and would lead to unreasonable censorship
