A plan is in place to transfer one or more American citizens who are infected with the Ebola virus in West Africa back to the United States. This is wrong. The virus is contained at this point in the nations of Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea. Transporting an infected person to US soil has potentially catastrophic consequences for every American citizen. This is an extremely infectious disease with a high mortality rate for which there is no cure. There is no reason that these infected people bring this virus back to the United States, where Ebola has never been seen before. This is irresponsible at best, and catastrophic at worst. We implore the Obama Administration to at once halt the transfer of these persons into the United States.
