This petition calls for the administration to call the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to account for consistent and continuous thefts from travellers luggage during routine inspections.
TSA employees should be monitored more effectively, including by CCTV and should be held to account if items go missing, which should be verifiable by CCTV.
Currently travellers who are the victim of theft due to TSA inspection have little or no recourse and the TSA simply states it is unable to verify such claims. These instances undermine the TSA as an organisation and erode public confidence.
This petition proposes the implementation of additional checks and balances to restore public confidence in legitimate security measures.
