Stop TSA from racial profiling persons w/ natural Afrocentric hair and subjecting them to hair pat downs post body scan

Created by R.C. on March 21, 2013

TSA racially profiles persons with Afrocentric hair and subjects them to secondary hair pat downs post body scans. Civil Rights are being violated and the process is similar to New York's Stop & Frisk class action case. Black and Brown people are dis-proportionally subjected to this search than Whites. TSA is treating Black and Brown persons with curly and or kinky hair as secondary citizens. What do you expect to find in someone's hair that was not detected on the scan? At minimum the scan should be able to detect foreign objects in someone's hair. This is not being achieved. I have been subjected the this search at LGA and EWR airoprts. EWR TSA manager threatened me with being banned from the airport if I decided to cancel my flight plans and return home and not agree to the pat down
