Every mentally capable American has the right to own firearms for self defense, hunting, and for protection against political tyranny. It is foolish to sacrifice freedoms because of fears, more people are killed by drunk drivers and no one bans cars. Once the government takes away the second amendment whats to stop them from taking away our freedom of speech which they are slowly chiping away at with political correctness. You may think regulating this right is the way to go, however regulation of freedoms lead to destruction of freedoms. The only way to ensure the defense of Americas freedom is for citizens to be armed, similar to how the minutemen stood up against the british who were trying to disarm Americans so must we fight back by petitions and by other legal means possible.
