Throughout the the country Veterans who have been disabled in their service are being forced to pay for their own disability compensation through an unethical system that takes away their earned retirement pay. Whether they have served their 20 years or were medicaly retired under Chapter 61, these Veterans earned their retirement. If they were disabled during service, the VA provides for them to receive Disability Compensation; however, they must pay for it, dollar for dollar out of their retirement pay. HR 333, which has received bipartisan support now and in past sessions of Congress will finally right this wrong. Please reach out to both parties and tell them you support this bill and what it does for our nations disabled Veterans. Ask for a vote today and we know it will pass.
