Stop unfair, unnecessary Data Caps. Expose usage limits and metered billing as the overcharging schemes they really are.

Created by K.A. on November 19, 2012

The internet is not a finite resource, notes Phillip Dampier of Stopthecap.com, reporting: 90% of your broadband bill is pure profit, according to the Wall Street Journal. Concurrently, Netflix general counsel David Hyman wrote in the WS Journal: “Wireline bandwidth is an almost unlimited resource due to advances in Internet architecture. The marginal cost of providing an extra gigabyte of data is less than one cent, and falling.” Please require Internet Service Providers to offer fair services to all. Many of us in "underserved" rural communities cannot access cheap DSL plans; instead, we must pay absurdly bloated fees for incrementally-capped data. This practice is unethical, gouges consumers, and hinders free enterprise. Big Telecom needs regulation and a Money Party chaperone.
