Stop the Unions from making medical decisions on behalf of it's members and going against the Medical Professionals.

Created by D.C. on February 05, 2014

People with severe brain injuries need compassion, understanding and time to heal. We make progress at different rates, my brother Carl Carozza suffered a severe traumatic injury after a devastating motorcycle accident. The Laborers Welfare Fund of Chicago suspended his benefits claiming he could not be rehabilitated. He has made remarkable progress thus far and his benefits were reinstated with the condition of being evaluated every 30 days. His benefits will be suspended again if his progression doesn't meet the standards of a union. The decission makers in the union need to research what it takes to recover from Traumatic Brain Injuries and the amount of Therapy it requires. The progress report should be based on what doctors say, not what the union believes in order to save money.
