STOP UNITED STATES NAVY FROM ABOLISHING THE NAVY ENLISTED RATING SYSTEM.

Created by B.T. on October 03, 2016

The United States Navy announced September 2016 it will abolish the current Enlisted Rating system. Since the inception of the Navy, the U. S. Navy has used rating titles. The Rating titles are an interwoven aspect of U.S. Navy culture and tradition. The U.S. Navy is spending millions of dollars to revise a system that does not need correction or change. They justify it by stating it will be easier to enhance training capabilities of Sailors and create a smoother transition of civilian understanding of a Sailors capabilities. A misconception, a civilian will not understand what N204 vice the title Hospital Corpsman. Currently the Navy utilizes rates and Navy Enlisted classification codes, a proven success. Do not waste millions to change a working system and diminish morale!
