Stop the unjust prosecution of Matthew R. Davies and bar the DOJ from prosecuting marijuana users in certain states

Created by J.H. on January 15, 2013

Matthew R. Davies is a family man with a wife and children that has recently been indicted on federal charges that carry a mandatory minimum sentence of over five years. His alleged crime is distributing marijuana, which is against federal statues. In his home state, however; voters have decided that marijuana should be available due to its medicinal qualities. The government of the United States and the Department of Justice, being of and for the people of the United States, must recognize and follow the will of the people not only in California but in states that have chosen similar legislation throughout our nation. The people of the United States have spoken loudly and clearly: the time for prohibition is over. End the senseless prosecution of Matthew R. Davies and others like him.
