The gray wolf has been taken off the endangered species list and they can now be legally hunted. If the hunting of gray wolves continues to be legal there is a strong possibility that they are going to end up on the endangered species list again. There is no license required to kill a gray wolf in the state of Wyoming, which makes them a bigger target than animals that can only be hunted legally with a requird license
