Stop unlicensed caregivers from administering medications! Only LVNs or RNs should be administering and medications.

The Board of Nursing some years ago, took away the job of an LVN/LPN when they took away the ability for an LVN to do an assessment. This destoyed health care. LVNs have no jobs any more. Home Health agencies are just hiring caregivers with no experience to give medications to patients. These caregivers have access to narcotic pain medications. CNAs can not give medications. Caregivers should be barred from administering medications. The home heath companies need to hire LVNs to give medications. Caregivers need to be encourageD to go to school and get an education instead of working for 10.00 an hour. The government needs to specifically help LVNs/LPNs across the country. Patients are suffering without trained Licensed Vocational Nurses in place to care for them.
