Gun control is clearly not working. By requiring owners of all guns to register, buy a license and insurance (for each gun), and take a required course in gun safety (for each gun) there will be greater chance that a gun is handled safely. Each gun is registered for law enforcement to track to the owner. Cars are similar to guns in this way. They can kill, they have to be licensed, we have to buy insurance for them, and people who drive have to be trained in order to secure a license. The same logic can be applied to guns. They are lethal when in the wrong hands. Clearly this process will create more responsible gun owners who realize if their gun is used in a crime, it will be traced back to them. When a child is found with a gun, issue a fine of $100,000 to the owner.
