stop unsubstantiated "block billing" of clients by law firms who ignore the obligation to itemize invoiced bills.

Created by P.K. on July 31, 2015

Unscrupulous law firms use a technique call "block billing" that eliminates a detailed accounting of the time billed to the client. This type of billing allows law firms to hide actual time spent on individual tasks from the client and eliminates transparency in the relationship. A law firm bundles a long list of tasks and presents one accumulated hourly total that has no actual back up. There is no other profession that is allowed to get away with such consumer disregard. Abusive law firms pad their bills using this method usually to the detriment on small business owners. Every State Bar has take action against such practice yet does not have a standard policy in place. The consumer is not aware of such practice until after the fact, and as Americans this legal scam must be stopped
