Stop U.S Corperations from using prison workers when unemployment in the private sector is so high

Created by R.H. on March 25, 2013

Major corporations profit from prison labor. Motorola, Compaq, Honeywell, Microsoft, Boeing, Revlon, Chevron, TWA, Victoria’s Secret, Bank of America, AT&T, IBM and Eddie Bauer, Kmart and JCPenney. They are forced to work for much less. We have so many people who are not in prisons that are in need of a decent paying job. But these companies that rely on us to buy their product wont hire us.
Nearly a million prisoners work making furniture, working call centers, making body armor, working in slaughterhouses. Some prisoners don't make a dime for their work. The companies that do pay workers between 93 cents and $4.73 per day get up to 40 percent of the money back in taxpayer-funded. Law biding people need the jobs more than prisoners. Google Prison Labor if you want more info. Thank You
