STOP U.S. Navy plans to harm or kill whales and dolphins through indiscriminate use of sonar and other equipment.

The U.S. Navy wants approval of its plan to use sonar and other equipment without regard to the damage it can cause marine life–especially mammals like dolphins and whales. They want to increase testing of equipment by setting off explosions, sinking ships, and using active sonar regardless of the harm. They claim they need additional training. By signing this petition, you are telling the Navy, the additional training is not necessary because the potential benefits are not worth the considerable pain and cost. The National Marine Fisheries Service is responsible for protecting marine mammals and endangered species.
