The US Goverment has froze federal pay increases for nearly 3 years and if looking to extend these pay freezes for an additional two years. Now they are raiding our retirement fund and also propsed we pay more into as well. This is being done in order to help towards balancing the budget on the backs of federal workers.
As a feredal worker for an advocacy group, I can trully say, I am doing the job of 5 people and earn every penny I receive. Our health benefits rise every year and so does inflation. However, no raises!
The federal workforce should not suffer economic hardship due to the fact that Congress can not act on coming up with a balanced buget.
