The USDA announced that it will be lifting the ban on Chinese chicken imports. According to news reports (search chicken from China), chickens will be slaughtered in the U.S (or another nation allowed to export slaughtered chicken) then shipped to CHINA for processing before being sent back to the American people to consume. In addition, the USDA will not require point-of-origin labeling meaning the American people will have no way of knowing where it came from.
This petition asks the USDA to continue the ban on Chinese chicken imports for the health and welfare of the American people.
