America is a proud, diverse nation. We have endured many injustices throughout our storied history, and face many more even in our modern, global age.
However, a particular injustice is being applied to a portion of the worlds citizens, whose given name (a proud, historied, even Presidential name) has been shortened and turned into a perjorative.
I speak, of course, about those named Richard. Their truncated appellation, 'Dick', is often used in insulting and cruel manners.
As such, I petition the US population and government to enact a law stating that the use of this disparaging word be replaced with the term 'donald'. Eg: 'don't be such a donald' or 'that guy running for office is a donald'.
Please join me in freeing Richards everywhere with a more apropos term.
