stop the use of the Shiloh Track in the environmentally sensitive Merritt Island Natl. Refuge as a commercial spaceport.

Created by P.R. on July 14, 2013

We at saveourlagoon.org are strongly opposed to the development of a commercial spaceport in the proposed location outside the existing security zone of Kennedy Space Center, within areas of the Refuge primarily managed for habitat protection, and adjacent to Seashore lands used for habitat restoration and passive recreation.

At its proposed location, this project is ill-conceived, reckless, and risks total devastation of an already endangered estuarine environment.

In a world of diminishing natural resources and a strong focus on minimizing damage to our resources, it makes no sense to risk destruction of a pristine wilderness in an environmentally sensitive area known to house several unique species including 20 State and Federally listed threatened or endangered animals.
