Stop using "executive discretion" to overstep the bounds of the executive branch.

Created by P.B. on November 18, 2013

The Obama administration needs to halt all acts of "executive" discretion when enforcing laws.

It is the role of the legislative branch to draft laws and vote bills into law. Once the bill is passed by Congress, it is signed into law by the president. From then on, "he [the president] shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed", therefore, enforce the laws as written. (US Constitution Article II Section 3)

An example is the Affordable Care Act. In acts of unprecedented executive power, the president delayed the employer mandate AND asserted that cancelled insurance plans will be accepted for one more year.

These gross over-steppings of power(along with DACA, others)directly contradict Article II Section 3. We urge the administration to faithfully enforce the laws of the land.
