The furlough threat has gone on long enough. You claim furlough of GOV civilian employees is 'across the board' and is a 'budget cut'. Yet, across the agencies it is NOT the same in days expected for furlough, with DoD employees bearing the burden of 22 days of no pay. Additionally, the money 'saved' in the cut is expected to be allocated and SPENT elsewhere within GOV. This tells us that the money is there to support paying for your employees who fulfill needed roles. Personnel who sacrifice time with family, time on leisure, to ensure the needs of military and citizens are met. We give, and you elect to slap us in the face with "thanks, but you really are not valuable to us". While I agree streamlining and reform of orgs is necessary; using us as pawns in a game is a disgrace.
