Stop using Social Security "dues" (funds paid by us in return for an expectation of future living) for other purposes

My retirement is not a BANK! Stop all agencies from taking money from Social Security with the exception of those specific to the disbursement of funds to retired or disabled people.
The recovered lost interest would offset a large amount of the SS increases.
Had we kept it invested at market rates, averaged over the years since it's invention, we'd be doing pretty well but congress chooses to use it as a slush fund thus for their pet projects thus denying us out rightful interest-bearing account.
