stop using standardized testing to decide funding for schools, taking a teachers job and holding a child behind a grade.

Standardized tests are a great way to see where children are at academically; however, using them to punish the children and educators needs to stop. Children that have trouble learning as fast as their classmates and children that have trouble taking tests are being punished by not being allowed to move up a grade. Our children are being taught how to pass a test and not being prepared for productive adult lives. Creative thinking children are often left behind and become underachievers in this system. Teachers and schools are punished by losing funding and in some cases losing jobs. PLEASE help me tell our government that our children are more than a score on a test and our school system needs to be saved.
