We should change the national language currently being used by media and polititians who are framing this gun control debate.
Any responsible gun owner would never use his weapon to assault anyone. Only criminals do that.
Responsible and law-abiding gun owners use their guns to defend themselves, their families, and their property.
The casual use of the word "assault" is only used to inflame emotions and is mostly used by the left to justify their gun control efforts.
I call upon all responsible gun owners, media personalities, polititians, and law-abiding citizens to carefully choose their words when talking about guns.
Again, only the criminal element "assaults". Responsible human beings "defend".
