The video game industry has been the government scapegoat for years, with supposed (and debated) "violent tendencies" tagged to anyone who are actively involved in participating in video game activities. Not only does the video game industry create billions in revenue, but they provide a cheaper, more accessible form of entertainment for those who may not be able to afford vacations or other forms of entrainment. Video Games have been upheld as an art, therefore considered protected in the 1st amendment. The Supreme Court said that the interaction you have with the virtual world "suffices to confer 1st amendment protection". I urge the current administration to remember what a large and useful impact video games have on the economy and culture of this great country before taking any action
