The word "Homeland" used to name our Nation brings to mind negative use of the word as in Germany in World War Two.
For example. The Department of Homeland Security could be called Department of National Security. Or Department of US Security
Those names sound more patriotic or traditional.
"Homeland" is Orwellian.
