Many of our foods contain a dye of "Yellow #5" and are in products that our kids eat on a daily basis. Such products are Kraft Mac & Cheese, Gatorade, M&Ms, Cheetos, Doritos, cereals, Mountain Dew and so on. There has been research that yellow #5 has been linked to cause ADHD in children. Some are highly allergic which may cause them to break out in hives, trigger asthma attacks, depression, headaches, anxiety, and fatigue. Yellow #5 can contain carcinogens that cause cancer. Across Europe they have phased out this dye from being added to their food. Kraft/Mars Companies stopped adding it in their products overseas but still add it in the US. If they can substitute these dyes overseas, why can’t they do that here? And why is the US pretending that yellow #5’s side affects do not exist?
