Stop the VA from closing medical/ER services at the Alvin C York VA in Murfreesboro,TN.

Created by S.H. on April 24, 2012

The VA plans to close medical/ER services at the Alvin C York VA and send all medical patients seeking emergency services to Nashville VA. That facility is already overloaded and will be unable to cope with the additional load of patients. Many of the veterans seen here in Murfreesboro are already driving from outlying communities and will not want to drive further to Nashville. Also this will impact greatly the Meharry Medical College in Nashville. They train their medical residents at Murfreesboro. Nashville VA will not be able to absorb their training along with Vanderbilt. This will create a hardship for veterans seeking care at the VA. We must continue to care for our veterans!
