Stop the "VA Math" used to reduce disability compensation for disabled veterans.

Created by E.T. on September 30, 2013

The Department of Veterans Affairs uses an unjust system of math to reduce benefits given to disabled veterans.

The VA assumes that a 2nd disability only affects the remaining healthy body and therefore reduces the percentage for 2nd and subsequent disabilities, reducing the overall award given.

It does not take into account the compounding issues of multiple disabilities: Missing an arm = 30%; missing 2 legs and that arm, Missing arm only = 15%. REALLY???

The VA Math punishes veterans for having multiple disabilities, forcing them to live in poverty.

Disabilities of 60%, 20%, 10% and 10%, should add to 100% and NOT be "combined" to the 70% at which the VA Math currently puts it.

Put a stop to this and treat our veterans with honor and respect by giving them proper support!!!
