Various states have proposed and even passed legislation to suppress the vote, especially for Americans of African descent. Most recently, Alabama passed a voter ID law, then proceeded to close DMV offices to make it more difficult for people to obtain that ID, mostly in counties where the majority of citizens are black.
Every person over 18 in the United States who is a full citizen should have the right to vote, and should not have his or her vote suppressed.
All voter registration should be automatic, and any voter ID that is required should be automatically issued to every voter eligible under the Constitution of the United States.
