The basic right protected in every Democracy is the right to vote and the efforts of the Republican Party's right wing in several states is to deny this basic right to all people of color, the poor, and women. As a result of their open effort to deny this right to establish a right-wing plutocracy and enforce a corporatist economic model against the will of the majority of American citizens the Federal government is to protect this Constitutional right of free and equal access to the voter booth.
Therefore President Obama should act by providing federal law enforcement as well as any other legal means needed to physically stop any and all efforts to deny any and every American citizens access to the ballot and assure every effort is made to assure every vote is counted equally and fairly.
