Stop Wake County, NC from settling lawsuits of DISCRIMINATION against the will of the aggrieved Plaintiff, AUTONOMY LOST

Created by D.F. on April 01, 2016

IN THE MEDIA: AUTONOMY LOST; When Denise Fitzpatrick refused to settle her lawsuit of discrimination against Wake County Human Services("WCHS") a court appointed Guardian settled it for her. Wake County stripped me of my Guardianship, because I did not have housing for him after he was excluded from such housing.

"My son begs to come home, he wants to stay with me on the weekends," Fitzpatrick says, her voice breaking. "Whenever I start thinking about it, I get sentimental. I think about the fact that Wake County is authorized by the federal government to provide housing for homeless people with disabilities. We go in, we're homeless, living in storage units, hotels, and shelters. Then we're excluded because my son has a disability. It doesn't make sense. And it's illegal." Stop WCHS.
