Stop the war on drugs and begin a war on the abuse. The reasons people use drugs is to cope with trauma.

This petition is for anyone that is unable to pay for adequate mental healthcare, who has not been to prison or using social security. Today, one with mental health issues either has to be a felon to get help or be able to spend 10-40,00$ on treatment.
What about the wives of the felon who has been exposed to the traumatic events of living with a unstable husband. Or the children that witnessed there father or mother being taken away by law enforcement. These issues act as a snow ball affect. As young people live a traumatic childhood they begin to adjust there mental state to cope with trauma. Often times it spirals out of control.
If we stop spending all the money trying to prevent the drugs from coming in, and focus on the cause of addiction, we can make a difference in abuse.
