Stop waste and fraud within the Pentagon

Created by J.R. on November 18, 2013

The Military should not be allowed to "plug in" amounts to their financial books to agree with the data provided by the US Treasury. This practice breeds fraud, waste and prevents Congress from accurately gauging spending to appropriate funds for other programs, increase the pay for the service members or used to pay down the national debt.

Over the last few decades many programs have spent billions of dollars in an attempt to synchronize accounting processes of each military service and reduce "plug ins", yet the Pentagon is still business as usual. By removing the ability to plug in amounts when there is no invoice or proof of services rendered the issue becomes more apparent and provides congress and taxpayers with a better accounting of financial activities for action.
