A petition to have the Executive branch use overseas facilities that already exist to cut wasteful travel expenditures from the budget.
Recently it came to light that the recent VP Biden trip to London and Paris cost the American taxpayer roughly one million dollars.
The White House has justified these costs as necessary for the "safety and security" of traveling executives.
Most of these costs are attributed to Secret Service and military expenses for setting up secured locations and communications.
Why is the executive branch not using the Embassy facilities that we already pay to maintain security forces and secured communications at? We already control these locations, they have security contingents, they have secured communications run by the military. Why cost the taxpayer more?
