We urge President Obama to pass meaningful legislation now ending all pet euthanasia in American shelters. We recognize this process is a never ending cycle of death and destruction that is neither effective nor sustainable. Everyday in america about 5,500 dogs are euthanized alone, not including cats!To pay for this, the US tax payers shell out 1 to 2 billion dollars annually. This is not acceptable or practical. Were ready for proactive solutions to solve the problem now. Let's pass legislation that bans euthanasia, favoring a cash incentive voucher to breeders/owners for spaying and neutering. We also need every vet to be compensated federally(either via tax breaks or $ compensation) for providing free fixes.This will save us billions in tax revenue and save lives.See: Arizona's dog law
