Our government spends too much money paying private security firms to protect our government officials. These security firms hire talent away from our own military and overcharge for protection. The money-for-hire soldiers of fortune are not subject to our laws and act in their own interests. This responsibility should not be outsourced, but kept within the military. Our government would save billions every year and keep a firm control over their actions in foreign countries.
