Americans looking for employment shouldn't be blocked from gaining employment because of a credit report. This horrible practice does nothing except further stigmatize the American worker and contributes to a continuing downward spiral for people who are already in the middle of a crisis. How can we ever repair a bad credit score without a job? This is just one more insidious practice that the banks, in cooperation with American employers, use to keep the poor people poor, or even poorer, which further strains the job growth we are trying to encourage in the United States. It is a viscous cycle; you lose your job and cannot pay your bills and your credit score suffers. Then when you are looking for a job you are told your credit score isn't good enough for you to get a job! Not Fair!
