Stop Withholding Payments to the TSP's G Fund

Created by S.S. on January 16, 2013

The federal workforce has not had an annual pay increase for more than two years. The administration is now halting payments to the G fund within the federal Thrift Savings Plan as a result of reaching the limits of the federal debt limit.

Federal employees are, once again, being singled out for disparate treatment as a result of this decision to stop funding our future retirement funds.

We are calling on the administration to halt the practice of singling out the federal workforce to finance the federal government's funding deficit solely because the benefits of federal employees are easily accessible to the U.S. Treasury as a source of cash and because federal employees are an easy target for criticism.
