The American election in the previous year cost $6bn, $6bn for what? To get one man to do the job of a conglomerate who needs for their needs seen to. Presidential candidates campaign for years and without any thought to how this is greatly affecting and isolating supporters of different parties and leading to a cultural divide based off needs based backers, who's only concern is getting the best value on a given candidate, relying on the different cultures of America and abusing these to push agenda of corporations.
The Australian election period lasts one month. The government decides on a date, and within a month there is potentially a change in government. Please force America into change by making elections more about policy and less about corporate greed.
