Streamline legal immigration so hard-working, tax-paying professionals who WANT to live in the US can do so

Created by H.M. on March 19, 2014

The legal immigration system in the US is broken. Talented, honest, hard-working professionals who want to live, work, and pay taxes in the United States should face no obstacle to do so. We should want to attract these kinds of professional regardless of where they come from. And yet, our current visa system makes it extremely difficult for foreign professionals to come work in the US, and discourages those who are already here from staying.

We appeal to the government to dedicate at least as many resources to streamlining legal immigration as it does drafting policies to support the ~11 million illegal, non-taxpaying immigrants currently living in the US.
