streamline the process by which veterans of the United States Armed Forces file for and receive disability claims.

Created by S.B. on December 17, 2012

We request that the current Administration work with the Department of Veterans Affairs to streamline the process, and reduce the time it takes for veterans to receive an answer to their requests for service connected disability.

It currently takes in excess of 12 months, in many cases in excess of 18 months or more, to receive an answer regarding veterans benefits and disability ratings. Granted much of this is due to the high number of veterans filing claims, but the system, as it is currently designed, is set-up to provide as much proof as possible to make determinations. As it is, this process puts an undue strain, both financially and health wise, on veterans and their families.

In order to assist veterans in their claims, please explore all possibilities to reducing this wait.
